Quick Bio:
Courteney Bass Cox was born in Birminham, Alabama on June 15, 1964. She was born to Richard and Courteney(her mother is also named Courteney). She is the youngest of four children. Her parents eventually divorced when she was ten. The divorce was hard on Cox, and became even harder when her mother remarried. Cox hated having a step father and often fought with him. Though, now, the two are great friends. Cox was a very shy student, and felt like an outcast in school, even though she was very smart and made great grades. Cox was a hardworker and worked every day after school in a pool supply store, eventually saving enough money to buy her own car when she turned sixteen. In school, she was a swimmer, tennis player, and cheerleader. Though, she quickly quit cheerleading so that she could spend the summer with her father in Florida. After Cox graduated high school, she went on to college to study archeticture, but eventually dropped out after one year to pursue modeling. She was signed with the prestigous Ford Modeling Agency and went on to win roles in commecials for Noxemia, Head & Shoulders, and Tampax(Cox is the first person to ever say the word "period" on national TV and mean it in "that way"). Her most infamous role was as the "girl in blue jeans" that Bruce Springsteen pulled on stage in the 1984 music video for Dancing in the Dark.She began to be very serious about acting and won roles in 'Misfits of Science' and 'Family Ties'. Her first success in the movies was in the 1993 hit, 'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective'. She, of course, went on to star as "Monica Geller" in the 1994 hit sitcom, 'Friends,' which is currently going into it's tenth season(eleventh year)and is still recieving huge ratings on NBC Thursdays. Cox was the first cast member on the show to have film success, from starring in the 1996 hit thriller, 'Scream'. Cox went on to star in a sequel('Scream 2') which surpassed even the orginal. She starred in the third and final installment, 'Scream 3', in 1999, which was even more successful than the first two. While filming 'Scream', Cox met David Arquette, whom she married in 1999. She plans to start a family with Arquette in the near future. Currently, Courteney Cox has two movies set to come out soon, 'November,' and 'Caught in the Act,' as well as 'Friends' final season. She is also creator and executive producer of the WE: Women's Entertainment design show, 'Mix it Up', set to air on Oct. 22
Useless Yet Fun Facts
Courteney Cox's favorite candy bar is the Butterfinger. She used to love junk food, but recently stopped eating it, so that she could be more healthy.
She counts 'Friends' co-stars Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, and Lisa Kudrow, among her best friends.
She was the only famous cast member when 'Friends' began. Now, of course, they are all famous.
When she first began acting, she was so poor that her TV sat on the floor instead of on a TV stand.
Growing up, her nickname was, you guessed it, CeCe.
She loves renovating homes and has an enormous passion for art, design, and archeticture.
She loves karokee and has a beautiful singing voice.

She had laser eye surgery to correct her vision, so that she wouldn't have to wear glasses any longer.
